Magdalena Myrczik

Magdalena Myrczik graduated with honors from undergraduate and graduate studies at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wroclaw. She participated in numerous workshops and music courses. She studied under such musicians as: Jacek Wota, Stanisław Skoczyński, Svet Stoyanov, Pedro Carneiro, Shoko Sakai, Beverley Johnston, Conrado Moya. She participated in various editions of music courses of International Katarzyna Mycka Marimba Academy and International Percussion Forum in Żagań.

The artist has extensive experience on stage, both as a soloist, chamber musician and an orchestra member. She was involved in various chamber projects with “Percussion Group of Wroclaw” or “Classic Marimba Trio” and she toured with them in Japan, Germany and Poland. She was the first percussionist of the Young Polish Philharmonic and Sound Factory Orchestra and she played in the projects of the Wrocław Opera, the National Forum of Music and Lower Silesian Philharmonic.

As a soloist, she performed with the Poznań Philharmonic, the Zabrze Philharmonic and the Orquesta Filharmónica de la Universidad de Alicante. Magdalena has won numerous music competitions, including: 1st prize at the Drum Fest Vibraphone Competition in Opole, 2nd prize at the Marimba Festiva International Competition in Bamberg (Germany) 2nd prize at Concurso Febrero Musical at Villa de Cox (Spain) and the Special Award of a Director of Artistic Education in Poland.

One of her biggest successes is the recording of the Classic Marimba Trio CD by Bayerischer Rundfunk. She also has experience in teaching by conducting various percussion masterclasses in Poland and Germany. She grduated her second master studies from the Conservatorio Superior de Música Óscar Esplá in Alicante.
